Deep's Reiki ("I," "me," "she/ her," or "the Practice") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with me. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect, how I use it, how I protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to my website, online booking and intake forms, and any in-person or virtual sessions.

By using my website, booking a session, or completing an intake form, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

• This information is used solely to provide safe, informed, and personalized Reiki and/ or meditation sessions

 

Payment Information

• Billing details processed through my  third-party payment processor(s)

• I do not store full credit card numbers on my own system; payment processors handle and secure this data directly

 

Booking and Scheduling Information

• Appointment dates, times, and session history are all coordinated through our online booking platform

 

Photos and Testimonials

• Photos, written testimonials, or verbal feedback you voluntarily provide for use in marketing materials, my website, or social media — only with your explicit, separate consent (see Section 6)

 

Website Usage Information

• Basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, which may be collected automatically through my website or booking platform provider

 

 

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments

• Provide safe and effective Reiki and/ or Meditation sessions tailored to your needs

• Share testimonials or photos in marketing materials, but only with your separate written or verbal consent

3. Important Note About Health Information

Deep's Reiki is a complementary wellness practice, not a licensed medical provider. Information you share with me about your health is used only to support your Reiki and/ or Meditation session and is treated with confidentiality and care.

Because I am not a healthcare provider under federal law, this information is not protected under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). However, I voluntarily apply strong confidentiality practices to safeguard any personal or health-related information you share with me, and I do not disclose it to third parties except as described in this Policy or as required by law.

 

 

4. How I Share Your Information

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I may share limited information with:

• Service providers who help me operate the practice, such as my online booking platform and payment processor. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are contractually or otherwise obligated to protect it.

• Legal or safety reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of you or others.

• Business transitions, if the practice is ever sold, merged, or transferred, in which case client information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, consistent with my obligations under the New York SHIELD Act, including:

• Limiting access to client information to those who need it to provide services

• Using secure, reputable third-party platforms for booking and payment processing

• Storing physical or digital intake forms securely

• Deleting or securely disposing of information that is no longer needed

While I take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

 

6. Photos and Testimonials

I will never use your photo, name, likeness, or testimonial in marketing materials, on my website, or on social media without your explicit, separate consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting me, and I will remove the content within a reasonable time.

 

 

7. Data Retention

I retain personal information, including intake forms and session notes, only as long as necessary to:

• Provide ongoing services to you

• Meet legal, tax, or recordkeeping obligations

• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

You may request that I delete your information at any time, subject to any legal retention requirements (see Section 8).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information I hold about you

• Correct inaccurate information

• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal or recordkeeping requirements of seven years

• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

• Withdraw consent for use of your photo or testimonial at any time

My services are intended for adults. If a minor receives a session, I require the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and any information collected will be handled with the same care described in this Policy.
